Robert C. Bechtell, Jr.

Robert Bechtell Jr. is an associate of Silko & Associates, P.C. He has been working directly under the founding partner of the firm, Alan Silko, since 2011. Prior to that time, Mr. Bechtell worked for three years as an associate in a regional insurance defense firm’s professional liability practice group primarily defending accountants, insurance brokers/agents, architects, engineers, construction contractors and other professionals in professional and general negligence, construction defect and breach of contract actions. Mr. Bechtell currently practices in a number of different
areas including, but not limited to, personal injury litigation, products liability, insurance defense, insurance coverage, professional liability, contract disputes, housing-related disputes and employment and discrimination litigation. He regularly practices in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia and is experienced with handling all aspects of litigation including but not limited to conducting and defending depositions and attending hearings, mediations, court appearances, etc.

Mr. Bechtell is a proud Pittsburgh native and he currently resides in Pittsburgh’s Brookline neighborhood with his wife and daughter. Pittsburgh was built on hard work and that work ethic was instilled in Mr. Bechtell from an early age. He prides himself not only in his willingness to put 110% effort into every matter that he handles, but also his ability to handle those matters in the most effective and efficient way possible.

Mr. Bechtell attended and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Information Science (BSIS – 1999) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (JD – 2008). He is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the United States District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of West
Virginia.
