Joseph A. Silko

Joseph Silko is an associate at Silko & Associates, P.C. He has been working as an attorney at Silko & Associates since his graduation from law school in the spring of 2016. Having worked for his father, Alan Silko, throughout undergrad and law school, his transition from law clerk to practicing attorney was seamless and he has quickly become a valuable member of the firm.

Mr. Silko is a 2016 graduate of the Duquesne University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Silko focused on many different areas of civil law, including employment discrimination, contract disputes, and personal injury torts. He received the award of “Outstanding Oral Argument,” an honor given to the student who excelled in the oral argument aspect of Duquesne’s Legal Research and Writing Program. Mr. Silko received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Penn State in 2013.

Mr. Silko knew from a very young age that he wanted to one day be a lawyer. He spent summers working for his father, while in undergrad and throughout law school. He is driven by his desire to help people. Mr. Silko and his wife, Sarah, and daughter Valia live in South Fayette Township. Mr. Silko is an avid sports fan, particularly Penn State football and basketball, the Pirates, and the Steelers.

He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
